Engaged

During a FaceTime, I casually mentioned how I was craving sushi. As usual, Glenn was down. I’m usually the researcher and planner between us but he randomly (wasn’t random after all) suggested Nobu. I’ve had Nobu before in Vegas years ago and felt excited to have it again so I said yes.
Glenn was ready and waiting for me while I got ready. We headed to the restaurant which is in Dallas so it was a bit of a drive but a nice day so it really didn’t matter.
We ordered a bottle of wine and checked out the menu. He got the omakase but I did not. Not my thang. I ordered the miso cod which was so buttery and melted in my mouth and a tuna roll, my other favorite.

When we finished eating, Glenn told the server we wanted dessert. He was acting weird and eventually started walking around the table towards from while holding my hand. Got down on a knee and proposed, WTF!?!
First of all, I did not expect this. At all.
Second, he and I are very intimate people so for him to be doing this in a public restaurant seemed out of both of our character but dang, impressive!
My eyes were huge and I kept asking him what he was doing?!? The table across from us with three young ladies congratulated us. I thanked them and dragged Glenn the best I could up off the ground and into the seat next to me. I wasn’t even sure which hand I was supposed to wear this engagement ring.
I had the most shiniest, prettiest ring on my hand and now engaged. I immediately sent the photo to my sister. She was thrilled for me. My brother in law texted me, congratulating me as well. It was a surreal evening that I will never forget.
